I have a 1997 s-10 truck 4.3 I only had it an hour or so and the trans went out I bought a transmission out of a 96 blazer and still have problems my brake light is on in the dash and the mph gage goies crazy some times can some 1 help me

 

I think you'll have to be more specific. 4x4? Auto trans? By what do you mean by "goes crazy?"

 

Hmm , by Brake light do you mean ABS light? If your speedometer has gone wonky so to speak and you have an ABS light lit, then you more than likely have an issue with a speed sensor or VSS. I think the 97 as (2) different ones.

Maybe one of the connections aren't seated fully , or there's a broken connection to one or both.
