Default Idling Problems

hey i got a 2000 ZR2 and im having idling issues. when im sitting still at low RPMs (like 600 or 700) my blazer will jump about 1 or 2 hundred RPMs. i have no clue why and its bugging me. it will also cut out a little bit while driving.

I would remove the IAC valve and clean it and the bore it goes into. A dirty throttle body can cause idle problems.

As far as cutting out while driving, can you describe it a bit better? How bad is it? When does it happen (throttle position, RPM, ground speed, etc)? Is it consistent or random? Do you have any active or pending trouble codes?

Default hey...

I was having a problem like that too..... It was my fuel pump. Hope it's not the same problem for you because it is a major pain to change. It died on me at a complete stop, but it was running extremely low RPM's and I had to drive 2 footed while stopped. The guy before me has very good questions. On another note can you tell me about the rear actuator for the back hatch? I have to get to it and was told by a dealership to tear the entire interior out to get to the dang thing. Do you know anything about this? If so I would like to know the easiest way to do this!!!

the cutting out while driving is usually during acceleration....it will be going fine and then stall for a sec then take off again....it isn't anything major but just enough to notice somethings not right....im hoping it may just need a tune up

Try spraying water on the engine and see if it stalls or idles rougher. I have the same issue and now im thinkin its just a cracked wire somewhere because my engine almost stalls when sprayed. Could be ignition coil to.
