Default Just changed out the shift solenoids..

Hey guys, so my transmission wasn't shifting at all past second gear and drive had pretty much no power/acted sporadically. Ran the CEL and it came back as short circuit in the 2-3 shift solenoid. Sweet, no problem. Changed out the 1-2 & the 2-3 solenoids. Put her all back together and drive still has no power but when I put it in 2 it drives fine! Way better than before where I felt like I was in straight up limp mode. In 2 I can get right to 45 mph no problem but you put it in drive and it's nothing. Just revs. Barely moves.

Please help!

P.s. I also replaced the filter and gasket 2 weeks ago. The oil that came out today was like dirty old motor oil.

When you checked codes did you use a scanner for OEM software or a code reader or app on your phone? With what you described are the common 3-4 burnt clutch pack. Time to replce or rebuild transmission. Especially with fluid condition.

I just took it to AutoZone. Whatever scanner they had there. CEL is now off.
