Default Shift solenoids

my wifes truck started acting funny and doesn't want to shift from 2-1 so she has to do it manually (and complain alot too!) I scanned the codes and came up with P0758 (I think) it said solenoid electrical problem 1-2. My question is can I replace the solenoid from the pan? I think I can just drop the valve body but thught I would ask first. Anyone have directions? Thanks

P0758 - Shift Solenoid B Electrical
You can access the solenoid from the pan. I have only replaced them with the valve body off, but I think there is sufficient room to replace them with the valve body still bolted up.
