Default Loss of power

Greetings,
I have a 2001 Xtreme blazer. 2wd, stock motor and transmission.
I’m having an issue with power loss. Whenever I’m pulling my utility trailer (5x10) I noticed it’s difficult for my blazer to pull up hill. It losses power and the check engine light starts to blink rather than a steady light.
I have replaced the fuel pump, FPR, EGR, full time up with ACDelco parts, fuel filter, ignition module...I’m stumped.
If im not pulling anything it runs just fine, no problems. It’s only when I’m pulling or diving down the interstate while pulling up hill. It’s went so far as to shift into first and just barely was creeping...maybe 5-10mph.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I would check to see if the catalytic converter is getting plugged.
Here is a simple way to test with a temperature gun.

Can the “cat” get clogged even if it’s throwing no codes? Whenever it does this and the SES light comes on, it throws up the P0300 code. But after a while it goes away. Really weird.

On a 2001 Blazer what would be the indication of a "TRANS FLUID HIGH TEMP"?

Electrical misfires inside distributor are a common problem. Check cam sensor retard with a capable scanner. Should be 0° ± 2°. Also check condition of cap and rotor and resistance of plug wires before replacing anything more - more common causes of misfire. Finally check fuel pressure (yes, do it all) per sticky at top of 2nd gen forum. 58 psi is OK for regulated pressure with KOEO on replacement MPFI spiders.

Ok I’ll check. But the distributor and all components including the CPS have 219k miles. Don’t know if that has any effect or not.
