Default lost all gears and park

Lost all gears and park. It will start in any gear but not move. The story I was given is he lost all gears while wheeling. I’m new to blazers transfer cases. I didn’t see a neutral option. I haven’t done anything yet. Any help?

If the transfer case is a "4-button" type with the Auto 4wd, then there is a neutral setting. I don't remember how to engage it, but I'm sure you can find instructions online.

Probably trying to get it into 4WD Lo

Do any of the indicators in the 4wd buttons light up or flash when you turn the key on? If not, check the ATC fuse in the underhood relay center. If fuse is blown, then figure the encoder motor is bad, and/or terminals on the plug to the TCCM are corroded.

This is the quick and dirty diagnosis that is usually correct. Only way to know for sure is to hook up a capable scanner, Sometimes bad encoder motors take out the TCCM, but not that often.

i just got it checked out. The lights did come on. I went through the procedure in another post. There was more grinding than an RKelly party, but then locked back into gear. I’ve cycled all of the gear and mode options. No more grinding. And all functional. Thanks.
