manual trans problem i need help

Default manual trans problem i need help

i have a 85 s10 blazer 4x4. the clutch went out and the shifter is in neutral but the trans is still in a gear. does anyone know how to get it out of gear so i can pull the driveshaft and drop the tranny

I do not think you need to have it in neutral to do the work required... Well, that is unless you cannot jack up the truck and remove the driveshaft where it sits now. Does the shift lever move at all?

the shifter moves it just wont go out of gear and ive tried to take the drive shaft out and its suck. also the blazer is not in a place where i can jack it up its in a feild just behind my house and the shifter does move it just wont go out of gear
