Motor Swap...
Hey there I am new here so hope this is in the right place! I threw a rod last friday night and discovered that switching motors would actually be 'easier' than fixing my motor. So I got a 1998 Chevy 1500 truck (body damage, bad tranny) with a vortec v6 in it and in the next couple of days hope to start the motor swap.
A few concerns I have that maybe someone on here can shed light on: The Bravada is fuel injected - the truck is 'throttle body'. Should I take the fuel injection from my current motor and put it on the motor I put in, or leave it as it is... (looks simpler!)
The truck is a stick shift, the Bravada automatic. I know thats not a big deal but will there be much of a difference in how they bolt up?
Thanks for any input, I will be asking a LOT more I am sure once I start turning wrenches...
