WHAT MOTOR IS BETTER 4.3L TBI OR CPI? AND WHY?
#2
Define "better"..? Are you interested in which is more reliable (TBI in my opinion)? More powerful (CPI)? Quieter/smoother operation (toss up depending on whether they have the balance shaft or not)?
By the way, caps lock seems to be on...

If you will notice, most high performance modifications and parts are limited tothe 4.3L engines without the balance shaft.Theheads used on the CPI enginesare somewhat betterif the bolt holes are retappedto fit the TBI intake manifold. However,TBI heads can be modified to be just as good as CPI heads.Installing larger intake (2.02") and exhaust valves (1.60") and a roller camshaft with higher valve lift andstronger valve springswill improve mid-range power butporting and flow testing theheads to improveflow above 5000 RPM is a waste of time and money on any 4.3L engine. That is why it is impossible to findhigh performance Brodix aluminum heads for a 4.3L V6 engine. Whenever higher performance modifications are done to the non-balance shaft engines, it is very important toincludecomplete internal balancing and oil pressure improvements usinga Melling high volume oil pump that uses a3/4" pick up tube assembly.
