Mystery Radiator Hose & Coolant Leak

I started smelling coolant a few days ago and then I noticed I was running hot. I quickly located a cut or burst hose and assumed that was the culprit. It came from the bottom of the radiator, halfway up the left side of it between it and the battery, and turned toward the engine where it was split. It is NOT the lower radiator hose.
I looked everywhere to see where it might connect, but can't find it. I crawled under the Blazer and discovered it isn't coming directly off of the radiator, it's coming off of a smallish round thing that looks like it might be a motor or a pump of some kind. There's a T with a hose coming off of one side and the one that's burst off of the other side.
While under there I discovered another hose going into nothing and followed it back to the reservoir. I thought maybe they connected into one another, since the reservoir hose will fit inside the one that's split, but after searching here I discovered the reservoir hose is actually supposed to be connected to nothing. Learn something new every day.
So, what is this hose and where does it go? Thanks in advance!!!
Here's the hose as seen from above. There's a thin thing coming off of it, that's not shredded hose as I first thought, it's a zip tie holding it to the side of the radiator.

And here's me touching it (giggity).

What did you do about the leak? I'm looking around on the forum because I've got a leak as well. Mine just started spraying coolant out of a hose, sounds a lot like a pin ***** in a water pipe or something. I can see a wet hose up against my metal plate underneath the radiator but I'm really not experienced enough to fool with it. I will be calling a mechanic in the morning. I don't want to drive it around hot and worry about cracking the head or something.

Well, I wasn't able to go to a mechanic, because I'm unemployed and broke. So the Blazer blew up on me before I could get it fixed and I had to strand it. Got a new car now (not sure how that worked being unemployed, but it's a brand new car lol) and I don't have to worry about it anymore. Honestly, if you know the hose is leaking, you know what hose to replace. The very first time I had to replace a radiator hose I did it perfectly without the help of Youtube. This was years ago. It's not hard at all. If you can look up a tutorial for the help, you'll save yourself a ton of money from taking it to the mechanic. Radiator hoses are one of the easiest things you can do yourself. Especially on a Blazer with the room they give you to work on the engine. Good luck to you!
