Default Transfer Case still leaking

New to site and looking for some help diagnosing. I have an 89 chevy k5 blazer 5.7 tbi, rebuilt 700r tranny with shift kit, and a NP 241 C transfer case. Recently replaced the tcc and torque converter. The transfer case started leaking from the output shaft seal. Replaced seal, tightened cooler lines, replaced dex2 tranny fluid to manf. specs. Still leaks. No leaks from top of transfer case, no leaks from gasket, but looks like its coming from breather tube. Two questions: does tranny and transfer share fluid (connected at top), and why would breather tube leak unless its overfillled ? Thanks.

The trans and xfer case do not share fluid - check both the fluid levels in both the trans and xfer case - my bet is, the trans will be somewhat low and xfer case is over full - if so the front input shaft seal in the xfer case is bad letting trans fluid enter and it will need to be replaced

After a closer look I think it is my xfer case gasket. Im going to pull and replace and see what happens!
