Mystery Water Leak
Had a leak start the other day and being from the general location as the water pump problem I had about a year ago went ahead and changed it out. After getting everything back together and about passing out from the glorious GA August afternoon, filled it back up and there it is still , water pouring down. This is without even cranking the motor yet. It is coming from under the area of the AC pump mounting bracket and flows back along the top of the valve cover. The top radiator hose is dry as is the heater hose that is under it. Just can't see under the bracket to get a for sure look and wanted to see if anyone had an idea before I go pouring seat tearing more stuff apart. This is on a 96 4.3L. It never did over heat, just started leaking.
Have a buddy that swears it is the head gasket, I am still hopeing for something stupid like a rusted bolt that goes through a water channel or something. Here are some pics.
Thanks.

Well that sounds better than head gasket. I think. Not the first time I blew a gasket on it running a call as a volly, sure you know how that is.

Mine was only 220 to fix but I got it fixed at a reputable garage in da UP (Upper Pennisula of Michigan, for those who dont know). I would say do it yourself and you would save a bunch cause the gasket kit is only like $36.

Intake is waht I am going with after pulling back the AC pump mount and seeing where it coming from. Hopeing that is all it is. Did wind up getting a 02 Trailblazer though, the ole Blazer is getting up there in miles now and just don't want to be left hanging again, coarse that just means it is now the moutnain run about truck.
