Default need help fast

i hav repaired oil pump on my 91 4.3 4dr blaze ive got oil leaks there are new gaskets on oil pan and valve covers and rear main but today i noticed and small oil leak coming from behind the harmonic balencer is this an hard repair and can any one walk me through it ? please help i want to drive my baby again like i used to oh and it has 138,000 miles on it

To replace the front lip seal, you need to first remove the accessory drive belt(s). Then remove the crank pulley (3 bolts IIRC - if equiped) and the harmonic balancer retaining bolt/washer.

Next, install a puller to remove the harmonic balancer. A low profile puller may be necessary. I made one out of plate steel with 3 holes to match those in the balancer (used for the pulley) and a larger hole in the center with a nut welded to it. Thread a bolt through the welded on nut and walk the balancer off.

You will then need to pry the old lip seal out of the timing cover, and press in a new seal. Pressing in the new seal can be a challenge with the timing cover still on the front of the motor...

thanks for the help i might just need to let my dad do this one cause i dont want to f it up or anything because i never to do this to any of my other cars i own
