I just watched it. I would definitely suggest testing your tps. Should have a smooth linear rise in volts as you open the throttle. Sometimes the tps wont throw a code when it starts to go bad. It looks to me like its kicking out of O/D on its own, almost like it thinks you are going to be accelerating even though you aren't.

I believe theres a thread or 2 here that explains in detail how to check the tps.

If not the tps, It could be a bad TCC solenoid, TCC clutch wearing out, or even a line pressure issue. Remember that whenever a transmission shifts/slips, it generates heat. Heat will kill the transmission. With any luck, its a simple fix!

I'd also check for a vacuum leak. When cruising it could be borderline vacuum on a shift point or dropping TCC. I know there are one or two threads that list the relationship of sensors and what they do as far as transmission operation. TPS, MAP, VSS are major players in transmission shifting.

looks to me like the TC clutch is switching on and off. All of the above suggestions are a good way to go. The clutch is governed by amount of throttle, speed, and map reading (vacuum). It could also be slipping, which isn't good.

Also the brake switch disengages the TC clutch

Alright, so the torque converter was the problem. I got that replaced and all "seemed" to be working correctly. I also replaced the transmission pan gasket again because I have a cheap torque wrench that moved on me making me over torque the bolts causing some leaking there. I correctly torqued the pan bolts with 8 pounds per square inch. All good there. NOW my problem is whenever I get the transmission to a hot temperature (driving anymore then 30min) it leaks transmission fluid and starts to act like a s***head. Why is transmission fluid leaking so bad from my vent tube? It was not doing this before the transmission rebuild????

Does anyone have an answer for the above question? Why is transmission fluid leaking so bad from my vent tube?

Everything I have read online is to tap into my dipstick tube and run a hose from the vent tube back into that???? Again, what did I do during the rebuild that could have caused this kind of issue where I have to modify my truck just to get everything to work correctly?

Sorry for slow responses, I am in the middle of moving. I apologize if it takes a while to reply going forward as well.

Thanks for the help!

What is your fluid level like when checked properly - hot, all gears, truck running, ...?
