Default new starter no crank

i replaced my starter today, the solenoid clicks but the motor doesnt crank. i have power going into the solenoid but no power coming out to the starter motor. i guessing solenoid is bad but it's kinda BS on a brand new starter don't you think

Is the fusible link (large positive cable to the starter) transferring power to the starter solenoid properly? Have you put a multimeter onto it to see what the voltage does when you try to crank it over?

Does the test light stay bright when you try to crank it over?

Then I'd say the solenoid is the cause.
