no gears..... forward or reverse
Just got in my 2000 blazer 4x4 and was driving down the road going about 40. All of a sudden the engine revved as it was it nuetral and I lost ALL gears. Transmission fuid is full. Filter and fluid were changed about a year ago. 150,000 miles. no other indications of the transmission going bad. Any ideas. First place to look? I looked through the forums but couldnt find anything similar.
Try putting it in 4hi and 4low to see if you get movement. Another is to check fluid level before starting after sitting for a bit and see how far up on the stick it registers and then start the engine and check if fluid level dropped and by who much. That will check to make sure pump is not damaged.
