I'm sorry but you have not done testing that will support even one of your conclusions.
Return to post #2 - test and report results. There are two pressure tests and two leakdown tests to do if it fires from carb cleaner. Read and understand the sticky at the top of the second gen forum.
Timing is non-adjustable and is set by the PCM. However if you have had the distributor out, then you could have dropped it back in with the rotor pointing to the wrong place. Tell me you haven't had the distributor out.

Yes I got it installed and it is running fine now. Though I have come across another problems. Shortly after having it running it again the SES light came on and gave codes P0172 and P0175; fuel system too rich on both banks. Is this due to my pulling off the plenum and possibly missing a vacuum line or unseated gasket or would it be something fuel related... again?
