pcv is good then, it should be snug not loose not tight. The gromet it goes into might be getting old mine for the crankcase breather is. You may need to wrap some tape around the pcv valve where it goes into the grommet just use good tape so it doent fall off.

put the pvc back in and checked for vacuum leaks, no leaks or cracks in vacuum lines so whats next on the list of troublemakers?

Swing by the parts store and find hte HELP isle, they sell new grommets for a couple bucks.
Give us more info on this hesitation?
how many miles on the engine?
When was teh last time you gave it a tune up?
Have you ever run sea foam through it?
How did you test for vacuum leaks?
Do you have an after market air intake system?

burping- erratic hesitation, burping happens about ever 6 seconds to 10 seconds(randomly)
76,000 miles on engine
tune up? not sence i got it in december, so unknown
no sea fom but ran injector cleaner threw it(stp)
i looked for cracked lines and losely fitting lines
no after market intake.
well today adds another problem that has been there for a wile and dad is not motivated enough to help fix. My dad asked me if he could use my truck and go get a load of wood..............dosen't help when the wood and trailer weigh more then the truck. But my tranny got a good workout and now it's showing it. While waiting to get into our pasture i looked under and saw a nice constant drip of tranny oil
this week hopefully i will take my truck into the mechanic and get it tuned up, [:-]last time i went in there they wanted an arm and a leg for everything

I know how you feel b/c Im going thru the same symptoms that you are but the with a 5.7L
But I would say that I have more room in the engine compartment to work around.
As for costing an arm and leg your one up on me. I live in Japan and just to have them take a look they want you to have not only arm and leg but an organ or two already in the cooler when you drive it in (providing you have an appointment) Parts are another issue as well. I gotta get all of mine online in country and talk about a limited selection as well as it being Russian Rulet as far as getting the rite part (no clame or return). Man I really miss being back home (Guam US Ter. Pacific) Napa was 5mins from my house.
Ok well enof of my probs. Ive heard that sometimes just a tranny filter and fluid change and help out. As for fluid leaking i could be comming out of your vent hose(rubber hose comming out from top of trans about pan) i may be wrong and if am sorry but over heating could cause your fluid to bubble and over flow b/c its being cooled via radiator. Im gonna try mine this weekend got the parts on Yahoo auction japan.
that shouldnt be too hard providing you got the rite tools, space, parts and most of all time.Dont rush or halfA$$ it.....it could make things worse(speaking from experience) If you do it rite once then you wount have to redo it. Good luck

well after carefully considering the mechanic's advice, he got no codes and the fuel pump was operating at the minimal operating range. so that could have been it and i could not be. so after a $100 now i am stuck getting that damn gas tank out. the repair book was counter productive.(you can't drop the tank until you disconect the lines, and you can't disconect the lines before you drop the tank.) so now after stripping some bolts and improvising once agian i have the tank half out and now am wrestling the 3 lines that go into the stuipid thing.
after i get the fuel pump fixed i'll post to see if it fixes my problem
