Default Nothing happens on start

I've had my Blazer for several months. Never had a problem with starting. Went to start it tonight and lights came on for a split second, then nothing. It wouldn't even begin to crank. The key will turn but nothing happens - no lights come on or anything. I can't even take the key out of the ignition. Can't even pop the hood or even lock the doors. There's no power anywhere. Any ideas?

Sorry, it's an '02 Blazer with 79k miles that's otherwise in really good condition. It could be the battery as there's no sign of power anywhere, but the lights had definitely not been left on and there was no sign the battery charge was getting low. Not sure why the hood wouldn't pop open.

Agree with above sounds like battery, if you have no lights at all. Charge it or get it checked. Goodluck

Ok, it was just a loose battery connection. It starts fine now. Didn't think a battery issue would result in not being able to remove the key. Thanks for the help!
