number 5 plug keeps misfiring

i have a 1997 chevy blazer 4.3 v6 past few weeks i get a check engin light when i start the car.so i check it and i get 2 codes a plug 5 misfire and a pending of the same code.so both codes the same .i changed plugs wires distrubator cap router button have not changed coil.if i drive it hard the code will evently go away and check engin light goes off.but when the check engin light comes on the car surges when u give it gas and after a few minuates it goes away.does anyone have any ideas what it could i cant figure this thing out.

whats the fuel injection like on a 97? could be an injector.

Double check the wire connection at the distributor for that plug. They sometimes push up and lose contact.

Sounds like something to do with your injector. The computer might be sensing a lack of fuel to cylinder 5 giving you a code. But when you get on it, it may be enough pressure or gas going through to get rid of the code. If the wires plugs rotor cap and coil are all good, it may be your injector.
