The Ethos EESC312 Scanner I am Using does not Power Up. When you press Power on a beep is hear, but nothing happens. The Scanner does not turn on or communicate. I Have tried to turned on using new Batteries, Plugging it directly using the L93 Cable, or connecting it directly to the Car Lighter or to the car Battery using your Car lighter Adapter. the result is the same, a Beep but, still off.
The Manual tell me in the troubleshooting section to remove the internal battery. Also, they talk about a bent pin in the connector that may cause this problem. I check the pins and found that one is broken or missing at the Pin Saver adapter, but the Owner said that it has worked find with this missing pin. More over he toll me the scanner has done this before, but has worked again.
I have read in forums that this problem is frequent on this and others
scanner from Snap-On.
I already contacted tech support but they require the unit to be shipped to them. However, this unit is out if warranty, so the bill is going to be huge.
Does any body has experienced something like this in this scanner, or do have any schematics of its electronic board so I can repair it. Or any repair shop to gave me some hints were to look! I prefer schematics so I can repar it!
