Default Oil above the drain plug

hey guys, i just noticed its wet on the area above the oil drain plug with small drips sitting on the metal. does not appear to be the plug itself, although there is a hex bolt about an inch or so above the drain plug, what is that? anyone know?

where can it leak from around there other than the plug itself?

Check the oil pan bolts and the oil filter (depending on 2WD or 4WD, you didn't say) and then work upward.
