Default Oil Cooler Lines

Hey guys, I know the GM oil cooler lines tend to leak after a few years. Mine needs to be replaced but I want to solve the problem and not put new ones in that will leak after awhile.

I have heard of guys using 1/2" hydraulic tractor hose lines but you need different fittings and clamps.

Is there an aftermarket oil cooler line that you guys like that doesn't leak after a few years.

Thanks for the help

I used regular old high pressure rubber hose from the auto parts store. Using a dremel, hacksaw blade, etc, carefully cut the clamps off the old lines, and re use the original fittings. If you want to do it the proper way, have a hydraulic shop clamp the fittings to your rubber hose.

Or, the cheap way (which is what I did) get some plain old hose clamps, and stick on there. I did put two at each fitting, though. Just over a year, and not a single drop has leaked.

That would be a better way than what I did. If I ever get bored one day, I might go and change 'em out. So far, so good, though.
