I have a 2004 Chevy S10 Blazer 4x4 and it started to overheat yesterday as I was stuck in stopped traffic. once I started moving again the temperature went back to normal, it drove fine all the way home but once I stopped in my driveway and let it idle for just a couple of minutes i the temperature started climbing quickly again. What could be the issue?
Thanks

I'm assuming you have a fan shoud installed? I discovered how important a fan shroud can be with my 68 Mustang. Without it, overheating while idling on any summer day. With it, no more.

first replace the thermostat and get a " fail-safe" if you can , then warm it up and see if that helps , if not squeeze the upper rad hose and you should feel the pressure , if not and it squeezes easily ,make sure the engine is fully warm , but then your looking the water pump , cheapest and easiest stuff first though .,
