Default P0121, new TPS and new connector didn't fix

ok here's the deal:
Bought rhis 98 Blazer LT and have the following codes: P0121 and P0420.
Symptoms are:
High idle on cold startup, corrects itself within a minute or two of driving. Idles perfectly until I go to put it in Park. Then it stumbles and stalls out almost immediately and nearly every time I drive it. Starts right back up with no problem. Replaced the TPS and the connector with AC Delco parts. Absolutely no change in behavior at all. Not sure where to go from here.

focus on the P0121. Read through the attachmentis for what makes the code set and other diagnostic info. Get a scanner if you don't have one. Good luck.

Thank you Les.
After posting this I thought to check YouTube about it and I found that a dirty throttle body can cause problems like this. So I got a rag and some throttle body cleaner and went to work. It was pretty nasty. But the result so far is that the code has not returned and it doesn't stall when I put it in park (but it still sort of stumbles).
I think I'll take the intake off my parts blazer and disassemble it for cleaning and swap it out as soon as I get a chance. Besides, there's a new spider in it 😁.
If it comes back I'll follow through with the sticky and post results.
Thanks again.
