Default Premature downshifting within a variant of speed

Like title states my truck ever since I got a used transmission put in to replace my old slipping transmission shifts premature on flat roads between 65-80mph. I have to either be going 68, 76 or 85 for the truck to be in final gear. Any other speed and the sucker tries to cruise in the next gear down.

It's a killer on my gas mileage and I know its not good on the motor to be cruising for extended periods of time at that high RPM.

I noticed after the transmission install the box around the selected gear is no longer available so I am figuring the computer related.

Thanks!

Default

On a GOOD day the vehicle will drive just under normal. I have to manually shift my gears and the transmission does not shift to 3rd unless I hit 50mph in 2. 2 is now starting to slip under certain throttle conditions.

Truck is now parked and used for emergencies only.

Also throwing P0420 and has a coolant leak in radiator...looking at other options as well.
