this is the way GM designed the gauge to work. I recently posted why they did this but to make a long story short it is normal for it to be on E after around 14-15gal.

also stop filling up after the first click

forcing more gas in the tank pushes gas and gas vapor up the evaporation lines into the charcoal canister which can ruin it and your evaporation control purge sending unit ....$

don't ask me how i know! lol!

that would be me. my fuel guage whent out about a year ago and haven't done anything about it, so i estimate my fuel by how many miles i've gone. since winer came around, so did donuts and drifting and less miles on a tank. so i've run my truck dry like 4 or 5 times this winter, once on my way to school, 30 miles away.

my truck usually takes right around 18 gallons when it's on fumes

I beleive the sending unit is a part of the pump, not entirely sure though. I had mine replaced in apil 08, i cant run my car without knowing my tank level. I really would hate to run out gas in the freezing cold or anywhere for that matter. lolol, i try to keep my tank from going below 1/4 or so. keep my fuel pump submerged.

And sign up. You'll be able to download the manual as a PDF once you're confirmed.
Is there a year limit on the manual?

I just signed up with my 93 S-Blazer and I see no links or info about an owners manual.

To fix the inaccurate gas gauge, replaced the fuel leveling sensor. We get trucks in all the time for this at work. What happens is the tabs that run along the variable resistor break off so they only touch sometimes. Giving you the inaccurate reading. Mine was broken when i bought the truck, when i put my new tank in i put a new sensor in and blamo she works like a charm.
