Default Problem need help

Not sure if this is the correct forum. But, I have a 1997 blazer 4.3 Ltr atx. It was bogging down and not really wanting to shift and when it did it liked slamed into gear. If I drove it manually it would shift fine. I took it to my Machanice and it was readding miss firing codes cylinder 2, 4, 6 were miss firing, put new cap, rotor, etc... and he said it was running like a champ. Well I paid $182.42, went back to pick it up, and I didn't even get around the block, it starting idling ruf and did the same bloody thing bogging down and not wanting to shift. What the heck could be the problem, is the tranny taking a dump, etc...?

Sorry for the long post, any help on this would be appreciated.

Thank you
Shane.
