Default remote oil filter line replacement

Ok I know that this has been discussed on here before at some point. I need to replace the remote oil filter lines and there just isn't any room to get the old ones out. Any suggestions would be helpful. Surely Gm wouldnt have made them impossible to change? 1994 S-10 4X4 blazer 4.3 engine

On my 94 I had to pull a little and turn them a little, etc. They aren't easy but will come out. I swore they wouldn't either.

How about putting the new ones in? Did you manage to get them out from top or bottom, front or rear?

What I was told is loosen motor mount & jack up the engine a little. That is what had to be done with my 97 Blazer 4x4.

Hardest part was getting the lines loose. I JUST finished mine a week ago.

Use 4-5 6" extensions throught the front of the truck to get to the bolt that holds the lines to the adaptor, and you MUST use some kind of silicone to keep the gasket from sliding off the adapter putting it back in. Also use some black electrical tape and wrap 2 layers under the head of each bolt so they dont fall out when you try to reinstall the adapter. other then that, its alright...but honestly..id never do it again lol

The bolts were easy. Which way did you take the lines out? Top, Bottom, Front or rear?

Took mine out from the front. Just go slow and they will flex a little as you pull them. Lossen all the clamps. I didn't have to jack the engine though it probably would have been easier.
