Default removing oil pan

I have a 1995 s-10 blazer 4.3 4x4 and I need to replace the oil pan gasket. I'm doing this in my driveway with very limited tools (I had to borrow a 3/8 deepwell) My question is would it be easier to lower the diff or raise the motor?
