I have an ’02 Chevy Blazer and I need to replace the torque converter. I am having trouble getting to the top driver side bolt on the bell housing. Does anyone have any suggestions or secrets to accessing that bolt?

Its not all that bad ,remove your crossover lower the trans as far as it will go.Use about 1 and half feet of extension you should be able to get to the top bolt easy.Or you can climb on top of the engine and get it from there using a #14 wrench.

I know which one your talking about ,top left. you`ll need a swivel adapter for the socket. Take off crossmember and lower the back of the tranny slowly. theres a chance of breaking your distributor if you dont. should be able to get to it

i have a harbor freight socket wrench, maybe someone else has seen it, its about 18 inches, skinny and has a 1/4 inch on one end and a 3/8th ratchet on the other end. that 1/4 inch side, since its so small, with a 15mm socket can actually get in there to get it off. only once i couldnt get it off using that due to the motor mounts being so bad the engine actually came back a bit into the firewall
