I is also very likely that you will need different lifters as the stock lifters are bored to fit over the larger diameter on the screw in stud. If they fit decent on the replacement studs, then you should be ok, but you'll have to check this.

The old style screw in studs are bigger to make up the differents. Just got it fired up and sounds sweet. This one has been an experience. One thing is for sure, it should last my son-in-law a few more years. With new fuel pump, brakes, tune-up, andheads with new gaskets.

Slowrollin is my hero. My Blazer is running great now. Words can't express how greatful I am for all of the work he put into this. Afterhe got it fired up this morning we rigged the hatch to work again then I touched up some paint and put some seat covers on. It's great to have it back. It has a bit more pick up than it did before. Thanks again for all of the advice, this forum rocks! I can't believe how good my engines runs and sounds. I'll post some pictures soon.
