So I discovered this weekend that the previous owner not only took out the 700R4 tranny but what he put in place was not a turbo 350 but a 400 with electric kickdown/passing gear shift. I located the plug and talked to a friend about it. Some models had a switch on the gas peddle bracket. Mine does not because it came factory with a 700 junker. So. Now I am wondering, can I use a momentary switch at the peddle? or find a way to place one at the Throttle body? I can drive it like it is unless I want to pass a truck or tow a camper up a grade.
