SM 465 Manual in 73 Blazer-Missing part of Bell Housing???
Hi everyone. Newbie here. First post.
I searched the site prior to posting (and have been looking online also) and have not found a specific answer. So, here it goes...
Purchased a 1973 Blazer from a family friend. Very solid truck. I noticed when looking underneath what appeared to be a missing bell housing piece or plate where the tranny connects to the engine.
The truck has been researched and contains the following:
350 engine
SM 465 Manual Tranny (4 speed with the 6:55 granny/1st gear)
NP 205 T case
D44 front/12 bolt rear (still have to confirm gear ratios although appear to be 4.10/11's)
Is this the design or am I missing something? Thanks in advance for any help out there.

thats just the inspection cover missing, no biggie really. i run without them often.
pretty much just a flat piece of sheetmetal to keep stuff outa the clutch like roadgrime. good to take off if your 4 wheeling so it drains fast tho.
