i searched for a while for sparkplugs numbers, and found a lot of different info.
i know my 98 blazer needs acdelco platinum plugs, and found 41-993.
i ordered 6 and i received them today.
they are 993, but the box says iridium, not platinum... whats up with that ?
anyone had this happen ?

41-993 is the PN for what was the double platinum. Maybe AC Delco upgraded them to iridiums & kept the old PN..

None what so ever. If the ground strap has a platinum tip to it, they will last just as long as a double platinum plug with better spark control due to the fine wire center electrode. If it just has the standard nickle coated ground strap, then they will wear out faster, but will not have any other issues.
If AC Delco did indeed replace their double platinum plugs with the iridiums, the ground strap should have a platinum tip.
