took my 88 s10 blazer out for the first time on the trail satuday drown out the starter got it home cleaned it up and she ran fine started it up sunday to find it has a lower end knock and squeal ... thought on pulling the pan and possibly going with some over sized bearings and a little thicker oil ???
and what kinda options do I have as far as engine swaps that wont cost an arm and leg its a TBI 4.3 I know a lot of engines will go in this truck but I don't wanna stray to far away with a new harness and so one ....

 

I think a 454 with a blower on it is your only option.. XD

 

If it needs bearings u better get a crank for it too......otherwise u are wasting your time u may just consider a motor from a salvage yard???
