Default Temp sensor on a 2002 blazer 4.3 vortex motor

I went to replace my temp sensor and the one that two auto parts stores is showing me and I tried are a bit larger in thread size diameter. Not sure what’s up with that? There is. I bushing or helicoil that was put into threads to fix them if it was damaged. Has anyone come across this problem. Thanks for any help.

Ive never seen this before ....usually a thread repair or helicoil will bring the damaged threads back to original size.
