i have a tick from the front of my engine, it gets louder when i rev the engine

just started today

it seems that its coming frome the belt area

i looked at the belt and it seems fine,

any ideas, would be great

 

could be a bearing going out could be belt if the belt has more then 10 cracks per inch on the little ribs it needs changing.

 

I had the same problem a couple months ago I started with the tensioner pully , wasn't that so I bypassed the ac still didn't help , long story short it was the fan clutch .

 

The same thing happened to me last year, I was going nuts trying to solve that problem.

 

I have a tick & knock coming from my engine for the last 80,000 miles & can't find it. I have had several mechanics look & listen also & they are left with a mystery like me. I've heard everything from broken piston to lifter to main bearings & everything between. But it keeps running & knocking never gets worse or changes in 80,000 miles. I run it every month on a 1300 mile round trip. This coming month 3200 miles of road trips. Each is a 10 hour straight through run stopping only for gas. Don't tell me these Blazers aren't built Chevy tough.
