im going to be taking the blazer in for a tranny flush once i getmy taxes and was wondering if its possible to reset the torque management system and if so would the dealer know how to/where the computer for this is located? the reason i want this done is because ever since the computer "adjusted" itself (basiclly moving my shift points further up the rpm range) ive noticed a slight drop in mpgs and i just dont like how the blazer feels since its done this.

Simply disconnect the battery. That will reset the adaptive shift algorithms. But if you keep driving it like you previously have, it will go right back to the same type of shifting.

diggin up an old thread, but i finally got around to this and i disconnected the battery for about 20mins and then drove around with no change in the shift points, so any other ideas as to what might be causing my shift points to move farther up the rpm range??

Find a shop with a Tech2 scanner and pay them an hour labor to "see" whats going on.

Yes, a tech2 will let the user look at all kinds of information and other things that are going on. Not just trouble codes.
