Ok guys i have done this to my 93 s10 blazer 4x4 before. and i would told by gm dealer to use 12 quarts of any atf and that was fine. My question is Does the 91 s10 4x4 take the take the same amount of fluid. thanks in advance

It should tell you in the owners manual or you can find out in a Haynes or Chiltons manual that you can probably find at the local library if not buying one is a great investment and should be able to find one at a local parts store or online.

12qts is the dry fill... A pan drop and filter change will probably only swap out around 6 quarts. I usually put about 5 qts back in, then check the level after starting the engine and running it through all of the gears, then putting it back in park.
