While driving to church, I stopped at a stop sign and hit the gas. First gear was fine and then second gear seemed to hesitate and so did 3rd. I just found out my cat is going out so there's something that needs replacing. My gearbox is what is freaking me out. I've found 2 kids on rockauto.com

Which one do I need? The case it or the shell kit?

Fix the cat first.
The puter reads all the sensors and adjusts the engine and tranny to correct for many things. That hesitation could very well be caused byyour cats poor performance.
FYI- to replace the sunshell you have to take the tranny apart.

Anyone know a good place to get a performance cat? I want a direct bolt on to the stock exhaust so I can change it.

Cats are welded on from the factory.
Check your local autoparts store or Summit Racing for a universal cat and universal connection kit. Ask them to explain to you haow it works. See if that is what your after, if not, tell them what you want to do.
