Ok here's the deal,, I got a 85 fullsize blazer with a 700r4 tranny, the other day it puked out about 5 quarts of fluid out the dipstick tube, filled her up and she worked great, a few days later while drivin I heard a slight grinding noise, pulled over to check things out, get back in and no go, just like if I put it in nuetral, let it sit for 3 hrs fired her up and she drove great for about 5 miles then just like before as if I put it in nuetral, same thing two days later but only made it three blocks that time, could this be a bad torque conv? If so would it take anything else out with it? Or is it time for a rebuild or new tranny?
