Default Tranny question

I have a 84 s10 2wd v6 automatic blazer that needs a tranny. I have a chance to get a 92 tranny converted to fit a 93 motor. I was wondering if I can use this for my 84 or somehow adapt it.
Thanks

A 92 tranny converted to work in a 93??? 93 was the first year of the 4L60E so if the 92 4L60 was converted to the electronic version (doubtful), then it would not work in your application without first converting it back to the non-E version.

They all will bolt up just fine, however, you need the manual control version.

Couple things are big red flags for me here.

'84 S10 Blazers came with 2.8L V6 engines and 700R4 trannies. '92 &'93 S10 Blazers came with 4.3L engines. Some may have come with a 2.8L but I am pretty sure GM phased the 2.8L out in '91.

Now with that said. The tranny bolted to the 2.8L will not bolt to a 4.3L, and the tranny behind the 4.3L will not bolt the the 2.8L engine.

Now my only question is!
Which engine is in that '84 truck?
I know the factory didn't offer the 4.3L until '85 and that was only in the fullsize trucks.

I thought GM threw a A bomb on the 2.8 in 89 lol..2.8L engine and the 4.3 run different bell housings so that won't work
