I'm not able to tell exactly what the problem is and when it is occurring from your explanation. Could you state what is occurring and when it is occurring with more detail? How is the transmission shifting (upshifts 1-2, 2-3, 3-4 & downshifts 4-3, 3-2, 2-1) when hot and cold? Under what conditions (engine RPM, throttle position, etc) does the condition occur?

Diagnosing transmission problems is difficult enough when you can drive the vehicle and experience it for yourself, but try doing it without experiencing the problem. Your experience has to be passed on to us effectively or we will not be able to help you.

Bowtie Overdrives | TV Made EZ

Give that a try and see what happens. More often than not it is just a TV cable that needs adjustment.
