trans leak in engine compartment

trans leak in engine compartment
i have a 96 blazer with 4.3l, auto trans.and i am getting trany fluid dripping on to the manifold and causing alot of smoke. its coming out of a vacuum line with what looks like some kind of a vent on the end of it. does anyone know what causes this and how i can stop it?
