Trans. Problem

When I shift it to park it's like it's in neutral and will roll does anyone know how to fix it

I would disconnect the shift linkage under the truck and make sure that it is getting all the way into park. If it is, then the park pawl inside the transmission might be damaged.

Is the park pawl a hard fix cause i've never really messed with a trans. before
