Hi everyone, I have a question about my 1998 blazer. The trans is starting to slip bad in it and i was looking at replacing it with one that I have at the house. I stripped out my old 1993 chevy 2500 (1500HD), and have a rebuilt Jasper 4L60E from it. I was wondering if it will fit in the blazer or not. I am also planning on putting the transfer-case from the same truck into the blazer so I can correct chevy's brilliant idea of the push-button 4x4. I want to convert it all to manual. I was wondering if it will fit or not. I know I will have to cut a hole in the floor for the shifter, but what else would I have to do, has anyone else done this before? If anyone could help me out i would appreciate it. Thank you

I doubt it. There was a change in the 4L60E around '95 where the torque converter clutch lockup feature was changed to a pulse width modulated valve/signal. This changed quite a few things in the transmission, making it not compatible.
