ok im new here but been reading alot of this. just bought this 97 blazer 4x4 and notice alot of tranny fluid on back of transfer and underbody. had a hose just laying around and looks like a breather hose does that connect to something else besides top of transfer case. its connected there but just hangs by drive shaft.

 

I'm not sure what the question is. But take some pics & show us, people may be able to help.

 

ok t case has a hose about a foot long and plugs into top of tcase other end just hanging there i noticed alot of fluid coming out of it. i read other threads saying bad seal on tcase but does that hose which i do belive is a vent hose just hang there.
