Default transmision shifting

ok so i just bought the blazer and the transmision was rebuilt 30,000 miles ago. the problem is that it shifts late and hard(mostly only into second gear) the previus owner said it has always done that since they had it rebuilt. is there an adjustment somewhere? or is it a modification that was done during the rebuild? oh and it is a 1995 4x4

it could have been modified during the rebuild with a corvette servo to purposely do that... can you chirp second gear?

A corvette servo will not make your shift later. It just applies more pressure so the 2-4 apply band does not slip as much when it shifts into 2nd gear. There are stiffer springs that can be added under the piston so that line pressure must be higher(higher RPM) before the piston will move. I believe you can buy the springs online. It's replaceable without removing the transmission. I'm sure there is a write-up somewhere about doing it.
