Default Transmission bolts

A friends blazer's transmission went out earlier this week and we have it just about ready too drop. I was wondering if anyone could give some advise on what the easiest way to get to the bolts on the top of the transmission. They seem too be up near the firewall and i cant see a way too get too them. Any and allhelp is appritiated.

Welcome to the site.

That should answer your guestions.

The short version.
Remove teh tranny cross brace and lower the rear of the tranny. Get about 3' of extensions and a wobble socket. Run your rachet up from behind the tranny using the 3' of extensions. You need the wobble socket to get teh bolt out, anything else is too long. You'll get the bolt lose and ont he way out, only to have your socket hit teh lip on the body and stop. Once the tranny is out, you can beat that lip out of the way for next time.
